The Lynn Ashworth Scholarship Fund
Each spring the First United Methodist Church Preschool has sponsored a Scholarship Fund Drive. This past autumn, Preschool Board Member, Lynn Ashworth, told us that after many years of service to the Preschool as an Assistant Teacher and sitting on the Preschool board, she felt that it was time to step down. The Preschool Board discussed many ways to honor Lynn’s dedication to us, the Preschool and the Children. We voted unanimously to name the Scholarship Fund after Lynn.
On behalf of First United Methodist’s Preschool Board and Staff, we would like to invite our families and friends to help support our scholarship goal of $7000.00. This would provide yearly scholarships for children to attend FUMPS two days a week. We offer these scholarships to children who will be eligible for Kindergarten by the following year and who, for financial reasons, might not be able to attend but would benefit from a nurturing Preschool experience. Recommendations come from parents and friends acquainted with our school, and through community and Church. It is through your donations and donations from our church family and friends that we are able to provide such assistance to our young families.
